![]() Some days one provider may be more accurate, but on other days another one may be. Weather forecasts are not an exact science, and each provider has different ways of calculating their data. Different data sources may show different information - that doesn’t necessarily mean one is wrong. We try to use the most accurate data for each location. Please note that we need to ensure new providers have the data required, allow commercial use, and meet our technical requirements. We will consider adding other sources in the future. iStat Menus does not use any kind of auto-renewal, and there is no commitment to buying in the future. ![]() No subscriptions #Īll of our data packs are one-off purchases. If you purchase a data pack with a different interval as you’re currently using, it will replace the amount of time. If you purchase a data pack with the same interval as you’re currently using, it will extend the amount of time. Data packs can be purchased from within iStat Menus, under the Weather tab. The data packs start from USD$2.49 (plus local taxes) for 12 months. Apart from those things, it’s the full iStat Menus. The iStat Menus Helper is needed to view some stats. It currently does not contain weather information. It is a one time purchase, plus a couple dollars a year if you want the weather data. It should be 10 one off purchase, or donation-ware. 10/month is not reasonable for a dinky little utility. We do provide some free weather data as part of purchase price though (typically many months).Īfter that period, you’ll need to purchase one of the data packs from within iStat Menus to continue viewing weather information. The Mac App Store version of iStat Menus is a little different to the version you can purchase and download from our website. The family and upgrade pricing is very reasonable, and they’ve slowed down on putting out paid upgrades. Doing so would have meant increasing the price of iStat Menus to cover the average usage. This makes it very difficult to include an infinite amount of weather data as part of the main app price. The services we use charge us ongoing fees to provide data, based on usage. We want to provide the best weather data we can. There are some subtle differences across the different sources, and which features they support. All the providers are premium weather services with high quality data. Please note that WillyWeather is a service that provides BoM data for Australia. We set a sensible default, based on your location. You can choose the provider you’d like from within iStat Menus. IStat Menus uses The Weather Channel, Dark Sky, AccuWeather, and WillyWeather for weather data. Clicking on the item again will hide them.Weather iStat Menus 6 includes weather, with current temperature, hourly forecast, weekly overview and other location and weather-related information. To remove items, drag them from active items area to available items area. To add items, drag them from the available items area to the active items area. For example, the CPU item can show a pie chart, a graph, a history graph, a percentage as text, a “CPU” label, and more. Most of the menu items have several different items within them that can be shown or hidden. Please see our page on reordering items for more information. Menu items can be reordered by holding down the ⌘ key (command key) and dragging the icon in your Mac’s menu bar. To enable a menu item, open iStat Menus and turn on the large switch next to the item you’d like turned on. If you’re not seeing any of iStat Menu’s menu items, it’s likely you don’t have any enabled. This allows you to use any combination of menu items you desire, in any order you desire.
